In addition to its fine studio facilities, the Art Department is also proud of the various exhibition areas it oversees throughout the campus.
The Tompkins College Center Gallery in the college center and the new Miller Family Building Gallery are directed by members of the Art Department faculty. The activities in these galleries are intimately woven into the fabric of the Art Department, bringing the work of artists with national and international exhibition records to campus, as well as hosting artists and critics as guest lecturers. These visiting artists also interact with students in group critiques and studio workshops.
Cedar Crest's sylvan setting itself, a nationally registered arboretum, is a site for rotating outdoor sculpture exhibitions frequently curated by the Art Department. Throughout the buildings on campus the Art Department has established exhibition sites in the Curtis Board Room, in the halls of Tompkins College Center, in Cressman Library, and in Alumnae Hall--the Arts Center on campus.
