The Hawk Mountain Sanctuary is located about 45 minutes from Cedar Crest. The Department of Biological Sciences offers courses on-site. In addition, students carry out research in associated field sites.
The Da Vinci Science Center is a non-profit organization whose mission is "to advance inquiry-based learning in science and technology for children in Leonardo Da Vinci’s image – thereby promoting academic excellence in these crucial disciplines." It is located on the campus of Cedar Crest College.
