THE FRESHMAN RESEARCH PROGRAM

Freshman Research Projects

Freshman Research Directors

Freshmen biology students at Cedar Crest test their curiosity and creativity through participation in student/faculty research. The diverse projects change each year as research progresses. Freshmen soon learn that patience, perspective, intelligence, creativity, discipline, hard work and luck are all involved in doing good research.

Research Directors (RDs) are sophomores, juniors and seniors who help freshmen do some exciting research. They provide technical and moral support. They teach new lab protocols and field techniques. They help professors involve freshmen in their ongoing research by contributing time, energy and enthusiasm. RDs are indispensable.
