Welcome to my web space! I'm in the Department of Biological Sciences and the Neuroscience Program at Cedar Crest College.

I'm teaching in the areas of introductory and cell biology, neuroscience, neurophysiology, neuropharmacology, and sensation and perception. Links to course web pages are at the left.

My research interests center around neural plasticity: the changes in synaptic connections that occur during the development of the nervous system and during learning. I'm particularly interested in inhibitory synapses, which have generally received less attention than their excitatory counterparts.

If you'd like to talk about neuroscience, or anything else, stop by my office some time. My office hours are on my schedule (link at left), or by arrangement.

Like everything else on the web, and in the universe, this site is perpetually under construction... so I'll spare you the warning signs and just encourage you to check back in the future.
