Student Teaching

The undergraduate elementary education major is designed to prepare students who want to teach in grades K through Six for the realities of the 21st century classroom.

This program leads to Level I certification in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; however, PA currently has reciprocal agreements for teacher certification with 43 states. The teacher preparation program at Cedar Crest College is grounded in a strong liberal arts foundation towards providing our future teachers with a strong background in academic content area knowledge.

Education ClassroomElementary education majors may dually certify in elementary and either early childhood education or special education (K-12). Dual certification is an option that is designed to make the new graduate even more marketable as an elementary teacher.
