Links to Theatrical and Film Interpretations of Love's Labours Lost

The Official Film Website (with Kenneth Branagh)
Provides information about plot, actors' takes on their characters, photos, multimedia, and an interview with Branagh about the movie.  Good site to visit for further information about the movie, though no replacement for reading the play.

A Review of the Kenneth Branagh Film
A helpful review, although it provides little information about the play itself; more helpful for someone writing a critcism or comparison of films or productions.

Review of a 1997 Boston Production
Great review...provides a wonderful synapsis of the play, as well as insights into the humor of the play and the skills of the director; another site helpful for one writing a criticism.

Photos from a 1997 Production
Provides few photographs and no information, either about the play or the production.  Only helpful for showing a different time interpretation of the play.

Photos from a 1999 High School Production
Doesn't provide much information either on play or on production, but offers many photographs that help to provide insight into the interpretation of the play.

Photos From a College Production
This site also provides little or no information, only photos.  On the other hand, it is a different, fascinating interpretation with unusual staging and worth exploring.

Hollywood and Shakespeare
This is a must see for anyone interested in Shakespeare in the movie theatre.  Helps to explain the question of why the Bard remains so popular 400 years later.

Branagh and Awards
Kenneth Branagh won the Gielgud Award.  Why?  Why is this such a big deal?  Check this out!  There isn't a lot of information about any of the movies themselves, but helps explain why Branagh is so important to Shakespeare today.
