The Economics Minor

A minor in economics is a marketable and powerful complement to a student’s degree in many other disciplines. It is designed to provide a background in basic economic theory, as well as advanced study in a choice of specialized fields, such as labor economics, international economics, and others. The minor provides insight into the environment in which business operates and a framework for analyzing and understanding public policy issues. All courses in the minor must be passed with a C or better.

Courses Required for the Minor in Economics

  • BUA 110 Principles of Management
  • ECO 101 Principles of Economics:  Macro
  • ECO 102 Principles of Economics:  Micro
Plus choose three of the following:
  • ECO 201 Government, Business, and Society
  • ECO 222 Economic Geography
  • ECO 302 Labor Economics
  • ECO 304 Money and Banking
  • ECO 315 International Economics
  • PSC 211 Globalization & International Law
