Fine Arts are for those students seeking careers in areas such as criticism, museum work, radio/television programming, fine arts librarianship, education-consulting, newspaper, or periodical writing, teaching, editing and the like. Cedar Crest offers an interdisciplinary major in the fine arts. This integrated approach to art, theatre, speech, dance, music and creative writing provides in-depth specialization in combination with general knowledge in related arts areas.

Each student's program is expected to reflect coherence and a sense of direction, as well as to define her educational goals. A continuing advising and evaluating process is essential to the success of this program. The course work will reflect a balance of creative and historical/critical experiences.
