Employment Opportunities - Administrative and Support Staff
Director of Financial Aid
Cedar Crest College is seeking a Director of Financial Aid. Reporting to the Senior Executive Vice President for Enrollment and Student Affairs, the successful candidate will manage the Financial Aid Office with an emphasis on customer care, development, implementation, and maintenance of comprehensive financial aid services for students from federal, state, institutional, and private sources. The Director shares accountability for enrollment and works closely with the Executive Vice President for Enrollment in terms of budgets, strategies for delivery of student financial aid, and the analysis and implementation of appropriate financial aid models.
A bachelor’s degree is required, along with 3-5 years experience in the financial aid field. A master’s degree is preferred. Understanding of and experience with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Access) and standard financial aid web modules such as PowerFAIDS is required. Supervisory experience ideal. Effective verbal and written communication, leadership and organizational skills are essential. Must be able to perform multiple, concurrent tasks. The candidate should have a high energy level, especially at peak times. This position is a 12-month, full-time, exempt position and the candidate should expect a high work load during peak times.

Experienced Locksmith
Cedar Crest College has an opening for an experienced Locksmith responsible for maintenance of locks, keys, doors & security systems. The successful candidate will have the working knowledge of Master Key systems and the skills to duplicate keys, replace & re-key locks, provide all aspects of door maintenance including carpentry tasks as necessary, and ensure security devices are in adequate working condition. They will also be required to have basic mechanical skills and help out on campus as needed, and be available for overtime when called for. HS Diploma and criminal background check is required. Director of Online Learning
Reporting to the Provost, the Director of Online Learning plays a major leadership role in regard to the management of all facets of online learning and distance education. The Director’s primary function is to promote and facilitate the use of instructional technologies in support of graduate and undergraduate academic programs with a particular emphasis upon the development of online, hybrid and one-to-one learning delivery systems which expand educational opportunities, enhance academic achievement, and further the College’s new Strategic Plan.
The ideal candidate will have a documented record of expertise and experience in regard to the development and administration of online/hybrid courses and academic programs; the management of the campus infrastructure needed to support distance education; the design and implementation of professional development resources for faculty and staff; the assessment of distance education networks and support services for courses and programs; the evaluation of office policies, practices and personnel; the preparation and administration of instructional technology budgets; the identification and successful pursuit of external funding opportunities; the identification of emerging technologies which may have applications in higher education; the incorporation of instructional technology issues into strategic planning processes; and, the integration of instructional technology and a liberal arts education.
The Minimum Qualifications required to be considered a candidate for this position include a Master's degree in Instructional Technology or a related discipline; 3-5 years leadership experience in regard to the planning, development, implementation and assessment of distance learning initiatives in a higher education setting; strong interpersonal and communications skills; familiarity with the instructional technology needs of traditional, adult and underrepresented student populations in higher education; and, scheduling flexibility to meet the administrative needs of evening and weekend programs.

Director of Career Planning
The Director of Career Planning is a full-time, administrative position within the Student Affairs Division, reporting to the Executive Director for Women’s Leadership & Student Development. The primary responsibilities will be to oversee all aspects of career planning by providing and promoting a comprehensive cadre of career development opportunities for traditional students, adult learners, graduate students, and alumnae. Through independent work, collaboration and consultation with faculty and staff, the Director of Career Planning will utilize a variety of assessment tools, develop, promote, and administer a variety of career focused services such as student internships, workshops and seminars, as well as provide individual and group counseling and support. The Director will also develop learning outcomes, provide ongoing assessment, and collect, maintain, and track student employment data.
A Bachelor’s Degree is required and a Masters Degree in Student Affairs and/or Counseling is preferred. The successful candidate should have at least three years of career planning, student supervision and programming experience. Effective verbal and written communication, leadership, organizational, training, and delegating skills are required and the ability to perform multiple concurrent tasks is crucial. Must possess skills with multi-media and computers such as knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, desktop publishing, power point, as well as social networking sites such as FaceBook and Twitter. High energy level required. This is a 12-month, full-time exempt position. A non-traditional work schedule which includes evenings and weekends is expected.

Lifeguard Position
The Rodale Aquatic Center for Civic Health at Cedar Crest College seeks candidates for Lifeguard positions to work various hours between 6:00 am and 9:00 pm, Monday through Saturday beginning immediately. Qualifications include a current American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Certificate, CPR for the Professional Rescuer Certificate and First Aid Certificate or equivalent. Candidates will be required to successfully complete a skills test to demonstrate proficiency. Recertifications available. Starting wages are based on experience.

Aquatic Fitness Instructors
The Rodale Aquatic Center for Civic Health at Cedar Crest College seeks highly motivated, energetic individuals to teach aquatic fitness classes to a diverse population of students. The Rodale Aquatic Center will train candidates in the use of new equipment and techniques. AEA or Arthritis Foundation certification is preferred but not required. Previous aquatic or land fitness experience desired. Part-time openings exist for both morning and evening classes.
