Forensic Science - Full-Time Faculty Position
Cedar Crest College in Allentown, PA is seeking a full-time faculty member for their FEPAC-accredited undergraduate and graduate forensic science programs. Candidates with an appropriate doctoral or master’s degree with a minimum of five years of forensic practitioner experience are welcome to apply. The successful candidate must be well versed in several different areas of criminalistics such as scientific crime scene reconstruction, pattern analysis, trace evidence/microscopy, and forensic biology. Candidates are expected to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate program and mentor both levels of students in research. Art Therapy Program Assistant Professor – Part-time
Summary of Duties
The Art Department at Cedar Crest College seeks a Part-time Assistant Professor position in the Art Therapy Program beginning August 2013.
The Undergraduate and Graduate Art Therapy Programs provide a studio model of education based in a humanistic/existential approach to art therapy pre-professional and professional art therapy training.
- teaching two courses (graduate and/or undergraduate level) per semester
- advising graduate and undergraduate art therapy students
- assisting with coordination of graduate practicum placements
- assisting with review of student applications and on-going student assessment
- assisting with orientation workshops for first and second year graduate students
- providing supervision to second year graduate students on required culminating project
- serving on (1) academic college committee
- assisting with activities that support the program and the college
Educational: Qualified candidates will possess: a Master of Arts (or equivalent) degree in Art Therapy or Expressive Arts Therapy and be a registered Art Therapist (ATR) - board certified (ATR-BC) preferred.
Professional: Candidate must also have diverse clinical and supervisory experience as well as teaching experience in the art therapy field. A record of art exhibition and/or publication is desirable.

Administrative Assistant to the Chief Financial Officer/Treasurer – Part Time
Cedar Crest College is seeking a part time Administrative Assistant (20 hours/week) to support the Chief Financial Officer/Treasurer. Under the direction of the CFO, the successful candidate will perform complex administrative and clerical work, exercise independent judgment on a broad range of needs of the office, use multiple software applications and database systems, manage calendar of activities, correspondence and letter preparation, manage bookkeeping tasks, reconciliations and the coding of invoices.
The successful candidate must possess exceptional interpersonal, customer relations and communication skills, as well as superior organizational skills with a strong attention to detail. A demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member in a fast paced, industrious environment is required. Prior experience handling financial data and other confidential information is strongly preferred. Familiarity with an academic environment is preferred with a minimum associate’s degree in related field and three years experience in a similar setting.

Director of Student Success and Retention
Cedar Crest College is seeking a Director of Student Success and Retention responsible for the oversight of academic advising, academic services, the College’s ACT 101 program, and the college's retention activities. The successful candidate must have demonstrated experience with college curricula, student development theory, and practice, student success and retention programming and ability to learn and navigate retention software. The candidate must have experience working with traditional, adult/non-traditional and online students, diverse populations and students with disabilities. Must provide a clear, defined vision for the future success and retention of the College’s student body. The position reports directly to the Provost, and works closely with the Dean of Students.
The successful candidate must have a strategic vision; ability to prioritize in a changing environment; ability to manage multiple projects; ability to lead and motivate staff through daily operations and emergency responses while meeting the needs of the students; ability to think critically about situations and execute sound judgment; ability to communicate with all levels of the College, both verbally and in writing; have strong interpersonal skills and be able to effectively understand and manage an operating budget.

Director of Development, Unrestricted Giving

Cedar Crest College seeks a Director of Development, Unrestricted Giving who is responsible for the cultivation and solicitation of donors up to $25,000. The position incorporates annual and major gifts with an emphasis on unrestricted giving and individual gifts to the Membership Society. Position is required to maintain an active schedule of face-to-face meetings with annual and major gift suspects and prospects, averaging fifteen (15) or more such meeting per month.
Bachelor’s degree and two to four years’ experience of demonstrated success in fundraising in a higher education development program is required. Ability and willingness to travel and work evenings and weekends. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills required. Knowledge of prospect management systems preferred. Cedar Crest College is seeking a results-oriented, energetic, full time Admissions Counselor to work in the Admissions Office of the College. The successful candidate will represent the College both on- and off-campus to recruit, interview and follow-up with candidates for admission to the College. The Counselor will also review all applications for admission and recommend action to the Director of Admissions. Significant travel is required, both regionally and nationally. Dietetic Internship Supervised Practice Coordinator
Cedar Crest College seeks a 12-month full-time Dietetic Internship Supervised Practice Coordinator for the Department of Nutrition. This position will be responsible for assisting the Internship Director in all aspects of the supervised practice component of the Dietetic Internship. This position is an active member of the Cedar Crest Department of Nutrition and will participate in departmental strategic planning, assessment and accreditation.
- Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or related field of study
- Minimum of two years dietetic practice experience in a clinical setting
- Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).

Temporary FT opening for a Campus Switchboard Operator/Dispatcher: Prior Campus Police/law enforcement dispatch experience preferred. Ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills & ability to communicate and function well in stressful situations. Duties include answering and redirecting calls, monitoring the radio and surveillance systems, monitoring alarm systems, dispatching officers, contacting appropriate off-campus emergency response personnel as necessary, maintaining confidentiality and other duties as directed. Position requires a background check, including criminal history, drug screening and a psychological evaluation. The individual may be required to work days, middles, nights, weekends and holidays, based upon staffing needs.
Part-time Campus Police Officer: Must be available for any shift. Prior Campus Police or law enforcement (Act 120) experience preferred. Act 235 certification required. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, a degree in criminal justice or equivalent experience. Positions require a background check, including criminal history, drug screening and a psychological evaluation. The regular schedule will typically be an 8 hour shift and a minimum of 2 days per week. The individual may be required to work days, middles, nights, weekends and holidays, based upon staffing needs. Flexibility of work schedule mandatory. Hourly rate is $15.00.

Graduate Interns - Athletics
The Athletic Department at Cedar Crest College is accepting applications from qualified candidates for Graduate Interns starting in the Spring and Fall of 2013, as an assistant coach in the sports of: basketball(spring), volleyball, soccer, lacrosse and field hockey in combination with an administrative role/title in one of the following: Sports Information, Game Day Operations, Recreation or Compliance. The Graduate Interns will provide assistance to the head coach and the Assistant Director of Athletics in a specified area. Thoughtful combination of an assistant coaching position, that would best utilize skill sets and accommodate applicant’s interests in an administrative role, will provide a well-rounded experience.
Coaching: Assist in player development both on an individual and team basis. Recognize individual talent for recruiting specific to team requirements through ongoing assessment of team performance. Structure and participate in specific training and fitness techniques relative to the program. Make instant decisions in pressure game situations. Set role specific targets by assessing individual players. Inform players of their responsibilities, duties, roles, etc. Assist in the operation of the sport specified camps and clinics.
Administrative: Assist in the day-to-day operations of the specified program - Sports Information, Game Day Operations, Recreation or Wellness. Assist in developing and implementing initiatives that best serve the current student population. The ability to conduct/oversee events specific to the administrative role.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree required, prior collegiate playing, coaching experience and/or athletic office experience, a valid driver’s license, knowledge of NCAA rules and acceptance into the Graduate Program at Cedar Crest College.
