Services for Employees
The Office of Information Technology will provide quality information technology services, in the most cost-effective manner, to facilitate the College’s mission and strategic plan as it applies to teaching and learning. It will provide innovative assistance and leadership in IT matters to all parts of the College in the achievement of their goals and objectives. To accomplish this mission, Information Technology works collaboratively with the campus community to provide technological leadership.
To achieve this we:
- Effectively manage the growth of integrated on-line academic and administrative information systems
- Provide universal access, training, and support for students, faculty and staff to enable effective use of technology
- Continually improve the performance, security, ease of use, and reliability of campus networks, systems, and services
- Assist in designing, acquiring, and implementing technology that supports the academic and administrative missions of individual campus departments
- Define and promote new opportunities for improvement using state of the art and emerging technologies .

IT will come to your office for a small group or one-on-one specialized training session. Please email Shannon Pretko with your training request, and someone from IT will contact you about the best way to accomodate your needs.
Information Technology will burn Cds and DVDs for faculty and staff members at the following prices:
- CDs: $1.00/cd with a paper jacket or $1.50/cd with a jewel case
- DVDs:$2.00/disc with a paper jacket or $2.50/disc with a jewel case
Cost includes the creation of the disc and a customized Cd label.For more information, or to request Cds, please email Judy Titus at jltitus@cedarcrest.edu. A minimum of 10 business days are required for all requests requiring less than 100 copies. More than 100 copies may require an additional week's notice. This does not include any time used for label approval.
Our Educational Technology Specialist Matthew Kile is available to help faculty integrate technology into their course work.

Distance Learning course development and support (IE. eCollege material)
- Teaching faculty the ecollege interface.
- Regular faculty information sessions to bring them up to date on ecollege upgrades
- Orienting faculty to the online teaching environment
- Pedagogical assistance for the online platform
- Technical support to Faculty course development and maintenance.
- Technical support to Student's enrolled in eCompanion courses.
- Video digitizing and streaming.
- Microsoft office suite
- Video digitizing and streaming.
- Microsoft office suite support in the classroom
- Media Scanning support and training (photos, slides, etc.)
- Media and course content archiving. This ranges from file management help to burning of CD's.
- CD burning - CD's are created for student projects, faculty conference presentation, faculty lectures etc.
- Audio and Video digitizing
- Website development and support
- Teaching Workshops (photoshop, html, Powerpoint, recording audio etc)
- Researching technology and learning skills necessary to supporting our faculty.
