Summer Internships

A network of forensic science laboratories from around the country willing to place Cedar Crest students in summer internships has been established. Cedar Crest College has formal agreements with the New Jersey State Police, the Philadelphia Medical Examiner’s Office, the New York City Medical Examiner's Office, and the Drug Enforcement Administration Northeast Laboratory in New York City to accept Cedar Crest students for a summer internship every summer. In most cases internships are performed in the summer between a students junior and senior years.

Since 2003, Cedar Crest students performed internships at crime laboratories and law enforcement agencies in Delaware, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota , Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Utah, and Virginia.  Cedar Crest students have also performed forensic science summer internships in Europe and in Australia. Since 2003, 90% of all Cedar Crest students applying for summer internships received placement.
