Grade Point Requirements:

No grade below C- (C-minus) will be allowed in courses which are required in the General Science programs.

Transfer credit:

Evaluation of courses for transfer credit is carried out by the Coordinator/Director of the General Science Program, in consultation with our instructors.

At least 50% of the courses applied to the program must be taken at Cedar Crest or at one of the institutions in the LVAIC consortium. Exceptions on an individual basis require our approval and if part of the last 30 credits must be approved by the Committee on Curriculum and Academic Policy.

Post-graduates:

Students who already hold a bachelor’s degree and are seeking Secondary Certification with co-major in General Science are evaluated on an individual basis. The Program Coordinator will examine transcripts, note courses previously taken which fulfill program requirements, and then establish a list of courses still needed for the science component. The Education Department will establish those courses needed for the education component
