Fundamentals of Microbiology


Catalog Description: The general characteristics of bacteria, protozoa, yeasts, molds and viruses are used to understand the role of microorganisms in human health and disease. The interactions between the host and the microorganisms are emphasized as well as the physical and chemical methods of control. Lecture three hours, laboratory three hours.

Note: Not accepted as credit toward a Biological Sciences major.
