Ecology, Evolution and Genetics

Catalog Description: This course covers material beyond the introductory level in the areas of ecology, evolution and classical genetics. Topics include population, community and ecosystem ecology; extensions of Mendelian genetics; microevolution and evolutionary genetics; speciation; and macroevolution. The associated lab includes a field component. Lecture three hours, laboratory three hours.

Credits: 4

Prerequisites: BIO 121/122; CHE 111/112 is recommended
