Molecular Genetics I


Catalog Description: A study of the basic molecular genetics with an emphasis on prokaryotic systems. The laboratory includes the isolation of plasmid and genomic DNA, restriction digests, transformation of bacteria and agarose gel electrophoresis. Lecture three hours, laboratory three hours.

Prerequisites: BIO 235/236
