Nuclear Physics and Radiation Safety


Catalog Description: A study of atomic and nuclear physics, radioactivity and properties of nuclear radiation. Included are pertinent radiation safety methodologies, federal and state regulations and internal dosimetry.

Note: Clincal courses are taught by physicians, physicists, and technologists at hospitals affiliated with the Nuclear Medicine Technology program at Cedar Crest College. Affiliated hospitals include Lehigh Valley Hospital [Allentown] and St. Luke's Hospital [Bethlehem].

Prerequisites: Registration is limited to students in NMT program
